Taita Cricket has partnered with a community funding organisation called CommUnity www.comm-unity.kiwi. This is a new initiative that generates funding for New Zealand community groups, including our cricket club.
Partnering with CommUnity’s is an exciting opportunity to generate additional funds for the club and build a relationship with merchants creating a win win for both the club and the merchant
www.comm-unity.kiwi connects shoppers, merchants, and community groups by providing a secure platform for groups to generate funds by supporting their local merchants. CommUnity also provides a way for the merchants to support their local communities by supporting the community groups that the shoppers (CommUnity Members) care about. Everyone wins, it's that simple!
How can you help? Just register as a CommUnity Member at https://app.comm-unity.kiwi/sign-up/member/ and select Taita Cricket
The Merchant pays a annual fee to the scheme and selects a commission % to be paid back to the club. This is a win win process for both the merchant and the club, the merchants sign up is tax deductible and with multiple club members using their services both the club and the merchant win.
When you sign up you will provide your bank account details to a secure platform managed by Westpac bank. This will ensure that when you make a purchase at a signed up merchant the agreed commission will be returned to Taita Cricket
As there are currently only a few merchants signed up to CommUnity in the Hutt Valley, Taita Cricket is taking a four phased approach:
1. Encourage all members and members family and friends to sign up to CommUnity as a member
2. The club will be approaching potential merchants to sign up to the scheme
3. Club members who are in business may choice to sign up as a merchant. [ If you are interested please contact Dave Gillespie 0212644404 or taitacricket@gmail.com for more detailed as you will be able to sign up at a discounted rate
4. Club members who sign up a merchant will receive a finders fee
Then download the CommUnity App CommUnity - Apps on Google Play or Connecting to the iTunes Store. (apple.com) to app to search the CommUnity Merchant directory to find and shop at CommUnity Merchants (using the in-app search merchants/view map feature) and every time you purchase from a CommUnity Merchant, a percentage of the transaction will come to Taita Cricket.
Encourage all your family and friends to sign up as a CommUnity Member and choose Taita Cricket Club and we will all be generating funds for our group and others by shopping at CommUnity Merchants at https://app.comm-unity.kiwi/sign-up/member/ and select Taita Cricket
